What's in a name?
How would you describe us?

Chromagene is so many things to so many people that it’s difficult to find a single tag line that includes them all.
We’ve settled for 'Large Format Digital Imaging and Screen Printing'. But how would you describe us? If you had never heard of Chromagene, what would you type into a search engine to look for our services? Would you include the words: 'Large Format' as in 'Large Format Digital Imaging?'. Would you not bother with the word 'Digital' and go for 'Large Format Imaging'? Or how about 'Large Format Outputs', 'Large Format Banners', 'Large Format' or even just 'Banners'?
In fact the word 'Banners' is a topic in itself. Look up 'Banner' in the dictionary and you get: "a long piece of cloth, often stretched between two poles, with a sign written on it". Now we all recognise that definition of 'Banners' but is there not a case to say that a more up to date definition of 'Banner' is: "A large sheet of printed material, usually vinyl"? Whether or not you agree with that definition, it’s certainly clear that within the industry, the word 'Banners' is used by many as the generic term to describe all large format outputs onto any form of flexible material. So 'Banners' could mean cloth banners and paper banners as well as the vast range of vinyl based banners. In an ideal world, it would be nice to think you could find us simply by typing in "Banners Leeds" or better still, just "Banners". We'll certainly be campaigning under that banner - to quote the other dictionary definition of the word!
Finally there's the question of Screen Printing. Once upon a time everyone said 'Silkscreen' but the 'Silk' seems to have been dropped from the name. But should it be 'Screen Print', 'Screenprint' or simply 'Screen'? And once again, should we add 'Large Format'?
So where does that all leave us? Perhaps we should go for a catch-all name that embraces all the issues above. How about: "Chromagene: Large Format Digital Imaging of Banners and other outputs including Screen, Screenprint and Screen Print".

Or maybe not.
If you've any thoughts on the matter, we'd love to hear from you. Just email us at: Thank You.
